- Open the free generator and choose the vCard (contact) type.
- Fill in name, job title, company, phone, email, and website. Keep it to the essentials — a leaner vCard makes a less dense, easier-to-scan code.
- Optionally set a brand color, but keep strong contrast against a light background.
- Download the SVG (best for print) or a PNG up to 4096 px, then drop it into your card layout with clear space around it.
vCard code vs. website link
| Goal | Use |
|---|---|
| Get saved into their phone instantly | vCard QR code |
| Send them to a portfolio, booking page or LinkedIn | URL QR code |
| Both | vCard on the back, URL near your logo |
Print rules that keep it scannable
- Minimum 2 x 2 cm (~0.8 inch). Phone cameras struggle below that at arm's length.
- Keep the quiet zone. Leave a clear margin — never let text or a border touch the code.
- Dark on light. High contrast scans far more reliably than light-on-dark or low-contrast brand colors.
- Vector for print. Use the SVG so the code stays razor-sharp at any card size.
- Proof before the full run. Print one card and scan it with an iPhone and an Android before ordering 500.
Who this is for
- Sales and field reps who want their number saved before the meeting ends.
- Founders and freelancers linking a card to a portfolio or Calendly.
- Conference and event networking where a printed batch needs to last all year.
- Trades and local services leaving a card that becomes a saved contact for the next callout.
